UV Stamp Problems

The only thing that comes to mind is that there are two ways to make a stamp, the way we make them, which is in natural rubber and the other method photopolymer. The problem with a photopolymer stamp is that to make the stamp you need a plastic substrate for the polymer to adhere to. We have had customers who had previously ordered the photopolymer stamps and the substrate has seperated from the photopolymer.

UV Stamp Problems

Subject: Using ultraviolet ink on self inking handstamps

Hello, wonder if you can give me some details,

I work on the Isle of Man as the Security Manager at a nightclub.  We have recently introduced an ultraviolet readmission system.

We have found that the solvents within the UV ink degrade the glue that attaches the stamp die to the self-inking stamps that we have purchased and as a result, over a 3 month period we have destroyed 4 self-inking stamps.  We have attempted to use a variety of adhesives, unfortunately the last one completely destroyed the rubber die.

Have you encountered this problem before?  Have you done something "clever" with your self inking handstamps to prevent this from happening?

If you have an answer to our problem with the solvent dissolving the glue, we will order a quantity (probably 8 to begin with) of self inking stamps from you.

I look forward to your reply and thank you in advance for your assistance.

Regards
